Manual assembly stations are used either independently or as a component of a production line in which each station is operated by a single operator. These stations are specified for low production volume where the expected production cycle is in numbers of pieces per minute. Such stations are designed with maximum respect towards the ergonomics and flexibility of the operator. The designs of the stations fulfil the strictest requirements for checking systems of assembly processes, and these are either construction measures or monitoring systems. The separate systems can be arranged and interconnected in the lean production system.
