Assembly jigs are used in prototype or small series production. The wide majority of these do not feature any process checks, the exception of, Poka-yoke mechanisms which facilitate the minimisation of unintentional mistakes. The assembly jigs feature precise insertion points, mechanical clamps, shaped gates and, where necessary, mechanical manual presses with return-stroke blocking.
